At Dookie Primary School we run a specialist STEM program which focusses on the development of students critical thinking skills via the teaching of coding and robotics, development of their mathematical skills through projects such as Bridge Engineering and Forces that Make Things Go. Students are able to develop their ability to plan and predict outcomes, develop their range of thinking skills and work within teams to achieve outcomes. This program is complemented by 1:1 iPads and a range of new computers such as Microsoft Surface Pro 4. Dookie PS has a dedicated robotics program which has Lego EV3, WeDo 2 and Edison technology. The students at Dookie PS are able to access 21st Century learning with our growing focus on this subject.
